RED & WHITE DEBUTANTE COTILLION
Annual Signature Scholarship Fundraising Event. Cotillion Program is for 11th and 12th Grade of high school Girls throughout the Hampton Roads area. Participation requires a commitment of 8 months, starting in September and ending in April. Cotillion is held in the Spring of each year. After completing the program, Debutantes are presented Awards and College Scholarships resulting from their 8 months fundraising efforts.
Polishing Our Jewel - Refined
July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2028
Our building has served this community faithfully — and like any cherished gem, it requires care to maintain its brilliance.
Through our Polishing Our Jewel – Refined capital campaign, we are raising funds to preserve, restore, and upgrade our facility so it can continue to serve generations to come.
Recent improvements made possible by your past support include:
- New roof
- New HVAC system (heating + cooling)
- New carpeting in the Malloy, Chappell, Tapp-Reid Auditorium
Looking ahead, we are working toward:
- New flooring throughout the facility
- Kitchen updates to ensure a safe, functional, and welcoming space

FRIEND OF FOUNDATION
Ongoing Fundraiser. Supporters and Community members are offered the opportunity to consider membership in becoming a “Friend of the Foundation”. Fee for one year membership is $25.00. The tax-deductible membership fee entitles contributors to volunteer at events, vote at the Annual Corporate meeting and utilize the HDF Building space for meetings and/or special events.
GIVE LOCAL 757
Annual 24-hour online community giving campaign sponsored by the Peninsula Community Foundation of Virginia. Held each May, this fundraiser gives nonprofit organizations an opportunity to raise funds to support their community outreach programs.

Our facility at 1999 W. Pembroke Avenue is available for meetings, community events, celebrations, and more. Renting our space is another meaningful way to support the Foundation while enjoying a beautiful, well-maintained venue in the heart of Hampton.
