The Hampton Delta Foundation, Incorporated was established in February 1999 by the Hampton Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority to raise tax exempt dollars to secure a building for community-based programs and initiatives. In 2019 we found a building with 3,200 square feet on l 1/2 acres of land at 1999 West Pembroke Avenue. Can you believe the number, 1999, the year we were founded?
We used funds from our first Capital Campaign that was launched on March 2, 2013 and closed on December 31, 2020 to pay for our building, “A Place to Call Our Own”. So many of you helped to make this tremendous undertaking happen and your fingerprints are all over our success. We are one of the few African American community service groups to own their own Building.
Our current Capital Campaign, “Polishing Our Jewel Refined”, began on July 1, 2025 and will culminate in June 2027. Please click the DONATE buttom at the top of the page if you would like to support our efforts.
